4 Stitch through the backing to the top side under the edge bead, at least 1⁄8 inch (3 mm) from the edge.

5 Stitch up through the Sunshine Edge bead, the added beads, and down through the other Sunshine Edge bead, staying on the back side (figure 11).

6 Repeat steps 4 and 5 at least once more. If the piece to be held is heavy, repeat twice or more as desired.

7 Use the tail and needle threads to tie a square knot (page 14). Weave the ends in and cut. To use the bail for attaching, string through the center bead(s) (figure 12).
